COLORADO SPRINGS -- Five-star point guard Jahvon Quinerly said at USA Basketball Developmental Camp that he remains committed to Arizona.

The senior's status with the Wildcats has been the subject of much speculation because of the federal probe into corruption in college basketball.

One of the four coaches arrested in the probe was Arizona assistant Emmanuel Richardson. Richardson is alleged to have taken bribe money and given money to a recruit who committed to the Wildcats. Though Quinerly is not named in the report, the speculation has been that he could be the recruit.

Quinerly told Rivals.com that he is still committed and that he would not be commenting on the situation. Also, his family has retained an attorney-- Alan Milstein -- to represent them.

For Quinerly, USA Basketball came at a perfect time.

"I'm actually really glad that I got to come out here," said Quinerly. "It was good to get mind off of all of this and just worry about basketball and competing."

Quinerly got off to a little bit of a slow start during Saturday's first session, but he came up big during the evening session.

He got to the rim, made tough buckets and also found five-star teammates Keldon Johnson and Bol as they both had good nights. Between the strong night and the chance to play with and against players he hasn't gotten to go head to head with has made for a good release.

"I feel like this is the most comfortable I've been in a bit," said Quinerly. "I've got some chemistry with Bol and Keldon.

"This is my first time at USA Basketball. It's also my first time to play against a guy like Tre Jones. It's a great event."
