UNC Makes Trip To Long Island

The office of Our Savior New American has been a busy one the past month. Many of the top programs have rolled in to view the tremendous amount of talent on its roster. Today, North Carolina made a trip out to the school, situated in Suffolk County on Long Island.
The Heels were in town to express some love for Juan Palacios, the outstanding junior forward. He is big and strong. He has an NBA body already and the maturity to go along with it. Many call him the "quiet man." Palacios, the 6-8, 220-pound, rarely makes verbal gestures on or off the court. He just plays the game hard and is one of the best in the 2004 class.

Villanova, Seton Hall, Pittsburgh, Louisville, Texas, Rutgers, St. John's, Syracuse, Connecticut, and Kentucky have all shown some early interest in Palacios. There are other schools now also planning to get involved with Palacios, who had a solid summer.
Palacios has the skill to drop in the 12 footer while also battling you for every loose ball on the glass. The battle for Palacios may open up to a national scale too with more intensity. With the increasing pressure on schools to recruit two classes now instead of the present one, many of the big name programs and high division one schools are evaluating and offering scholarships earlier in the process. Palacios is one of the recruits that schools are going to have to offer early to have any shot at getting.
