2005 point guard prospect JaJuan Spillman led his Pleasure Ridge Park team from Louisville, Kentucky to the Elite Eight before losing 53-50 to Covington Co. High School. The 5-foot-11, 160-pound Spillman is receiving interest from three nearby high majors.

"My top three schools are Louisville, Cincinnati, and Kentucky,” said Spillman. “None have offered me as of yet, but they are all showing me a lot of interest.
Spillman had these comments on his top three schools.
On Louisville: "Louisville has been out to see me play. They were at our game at the Louisville Gardens versus Lincoln. I like their program a lot. I like their style of play. I like the way they get up and down the floor on offense and get after you on defense. I've been to Louisville games. They were nice and the crowds were great. They definitely care about their basketball."
On Cincinnati: "Cincinnati came to watch me. I like how they play so physical. They are really aggressive on both ends of the court. I also like their up tempo style of play and the fact they do not just run sets the whole game."
On Kentucky: "It's close to home, and it would be easy for my family and friends to see me play. I also like the great tradition Kentucky has."
Spillman, who averaged 14 points, 6 assists, and 4 rebounds per game had this assessment of his game.
"My greatest strength is my ability to run a team,” he said. “I know how to set up the offense. I’m also a solid defender. I can you do anything you need me to."
" I need to work on shooting off the dribble. I also need to get stronger."
Spillman, who will probably play with Derrick Smith All Stars this summer, would like to make a decision by the early signing period this fall.
