The battle between shoe companies to come up with something new, exciting and hard to match continues to heat up.
In June Adidas took some of the top players from their teams on a trip to Italy. Next weekend, Under Armour hosts their Elite 24 which will again be played outside in New York with the Manhattan skyline serving as a backdrop.
Wednesday, Nike officially unveiled their latest entry to the list of elite events by announcing that they will take an EYBL Select team to the Bahamas.
As most who follow recruiting know, the EYBL is Nike's Elite Youth Basketball League made up of 40 programs that are sponsored by the shoe company.
The idea here is to take 12 of the top players and prospects from the EYBL to the Bahamas where they will engage in two days of workouts and training before facing off with the Bahamas National Select Team on Saturday, August 22 in a game that will be live-streamed.
The roster for the Bahamas trip has no shortage of big time talent as 11 of the 12 players selected to make the trip are currently rated as five-star prospects by Rivals.com.
