Kansas has already clinched at least a share of their 12th straight Big XII title. This Saturday, they'll host Iowa State for their season finale and senior day. Now, they'll also host five-star big man Thon Maker.

The seven-footer from Orangeville Prep in Canada's guardian Ed Smith informed Rivals.com that Maker has finalized his first official visit for this weekend.

This is just Maker's first official visit, but he's already quite familiar with the Kansas campus.

Maker took an unofficial visit to Lawrence back in late summer of 2014 and he -- along with his entire team -- was on campus earlier this season for one of the Jayhawks' November games. In addition to his official visit this weekend, Maker will also be back in Lawrence at the end of March when his team plays in a tournament there.

This doesn't mean that Kansas is going to get Maker, but level of familiarity that Maker is going to be able to establish with the staff and campus isn't going to hurt.

WHAT'S NEXT?

Dates haven't been set just yet, but Maker is also planning to set official visits with Arizona State, St. John's and Notre Dame.

Until those dates are set we can't pinpoint an exact time for a decision from Maker, but now that he's starting to set his visits it should be coming within the next 30-60 days.
