Three-star wing Curtis Haywood left his Oklahoma home for a prep school year at Wolfeboro (N.H.) Brewster Academy in hopes of gaining more exposure and boosting his recruitment.

His decision paid off quickly and now he's off the board to an ACC program.

Thursday night while on an official visit to Georgia Tech, the 6-foot-6 wing announced via Twitter that he has committed to Josh Pastner's program.

When Rivals.com last saw Haywood during July of 2016, we couldn't believe that he was still open and that teams scrambling for available help weren't offering scholarships.

He showed defensive instincts, could slash to the rim, had good size for the wing and was willing to compete on both ends. Since Haywood arrived at Brewster, his coach Jason Smith has seen all of that.

"Curtis is a tough guard who had a tremendous fall and has continued to shoot the ball well early in our season," Smith told Rivals.com. "He has great length -- a 6-foot-11 wingspan -- and has ability to be an excellent defender."

Haywood is Georgia Tech's second commitment from the class of 2017, he joins Rivals150 point guard Jose Alvarado.
