Evans Likes Three; Considering Football

Shooting guard Tyree Evans from George Wythe High School in Richmond, Virginia has three favorites in Cincinnati, Georgia, and Clemson. The 6-foot-2, 170-pound Evans is presently waiting for his SAT scores before he sets up visits with these three schools.
Evans is also waiting to see what happens on the recruiting front of his other sport, football.

“I might play either sport in college,” Evans said. “I will go with whichever one I get a better offer. I don’t know if I will try to play both.”
Cincinnati and Georgia are recruiting Evans as a basketball player only. Clemson is recruiting Evans for both sports.
Other football programs are beginning to take notice of Evans’ play on the field. He estimates his receiving yardage at 500 yards in four games. He also has three interceptions as a defensive back and has returned two kicks for touchdowns.
Despite his success on the football field, the No. 21 shooting guard and No. 104 player in the Rivals150 is looking forward to basketball.
“I can’t wait for basketball season,” he said. “But I can’t say I like basketball better. I like both sports.”
