Evans Has 4 Offers

Tyree Evans, a 6-foot-2, 177-pound shooting guard from George Wythe H.S. in Richmond, Va., is a standout in both football and basketball.
Evans, who racked up quite a few points on the hardwood last weekend playing for Team Richmond, told RivalsHoops.com that he has scholarship offers from N.C. State, Cincinnati, James Madison and Miami (FL). Some of those schools are looking at him to play both sports.

Stanford and Illinois have also shown interest in Evans, who plays wide receiver on the gridiron. He said he gained 1,000 yards receiving last fall for the Wythe football squad.
A pure scorer on the basketball court, Evans is a tough slasher with a knack for finishing at the rim. He elevates well on his forays to the basket, although his shot selection isn't always desirable.
Evans average 23.4 points, six steals, four rebounds and four assists per game this past winter playing for the Wythe hoop team. He is slated to take the SAT for the first time in June, but those in the know in the Richmond area say he might need to detour to prep school or junior college before making the jump to a Division I school.
We'll keep you posted on Evans' play this summer, so stay tuned.
