Evans Declares Four Favorites

Exciting shooting guard Tyree Evans from George Wythe High School in Richmond, Virginia has declared four favorites out of his list of eight schools. His list includes Georgia, Cincinnati, James Madison, VCU, George Mason, Penn State, Clemson, and North Carolina State.
“Out of my list I like Georgia, Cincinnati, Clemson, and Penn St. the best,” he said. “I like Georgia because they are going to run an up tempo offense like the one I am used to running. Even though Cincinnati has been as good lately, I love their tradition. I like Clemson for the competition of the ACC. And I like Penn State because I could get immediate playing time.”

The No. 79 ranked player in the Rivals150 also said that he would probably not sign until the spring but did not feel that waiting would hurt him with the schools that have offered him. All the schools on his list have offered scholarships except for North Carolina State.
Evans is coming off a very strong performance averaging 33 points per game for Team Richmond at the AAU Nationals in Orlando.
“We finished fourth, and I played real good. I had them on my back the whole tournament. They were counting on me, and I stepped up.” Evans continued, “I am putting the ball on the floor better and not forcing shots. I want to be a great team player by keeping everybody happy on the team.”
Evans definitely plans to visit Clemson, Cincinnati, and Georgia as well as take the ACT for the first time in September. He presently has a 2.3 GPA.
