Evans Considering Both Sports

Football, basketball, or both? Prolific scorer Tyree Evans of George Wythe High School in Richmond, Virginia is thinking about this question.
“It depends if a school will let me,” he explained. “I would like to play both in college, but I am going to go with the best offer in either sport.”

Based on his current offers, it looks like the 6-foot-2, 170-pound Evans will at least be playing basketball next year.
He lists Cincinnati, Clemson, Georgia, and Penn State as the four basketball schools he is considering. According to Evans, all four have offered scholarships.
As of now, Evans has no football offers, but a few schools are showing interest.
“Just my football coach has been talking to them, but I’ve been getting letters,” he said.
Clemson is the only school showing interest in Evans as a football player out of the four schools Evans is considering for basketball. He also cites Miami, Virginia, and Virginia Tech as schools looking at him as a football player.
Evans is projected as a wide receiver for college football, and he is the No. 18 shooting guard and No. 79 player in the Rivals150.
He will schedule visits after he takes the SAT on Oct. 11.
