Jerry Sokoloski is a guy who is hard to miss on or off the basketball court.

The 7-foot-5, 298-pound center from Ontario, Canada, played this past weekend at the Charlie Weber DC Capitol Invitational with Ro Russell's Grass Roots Canada program.

While he moves slowly and conditioning limits his minutes, Sokoloski said he has dropped close to 200 pounds off his frame in the past year. The big-bodied left hander expects to attend Toronto Academy Prep School next year, which is a postgraduate program being started by Russell.

Because of his immense size, Sokoloski is a player that people will always keep an eye on. It will be interesting to see how he develops over the next year and what Division I schools will eyeball him next year in prep school.
