MORE McD'S INTERVIEW: Michael Porter Jr. | M.J. Walker | Mo Bamba | Trevon Duval

CHICAGO - Five-star forward Brian Bowen can see the end of his high school career nearing. He's got a few events left to play this week and then it will be time to settle in and pick from Arizona, Creighton, Michigan State, NC State and Texas.

The 6-foot-7 small forward from La Porte (Ind.) La Lumiere is in Chicago for the McDonald's All-American game this week and Thursday morning he'll head to New York to play in the Dick's Nationals with LaLu. After that, he's got an important decision to make and he's not letting the pressure get to him.

"The recruiting process is going great," Bowen told Rivals.com. "I'm taking my time and I'm definitely going to decide in April. I'm just looking at each one of my schools and really just looking at the flaws because I know whichever school I pick is going to be a great choice for me."

Though Arizona, Creighton and Michigan State appear to be the frontrunners, Bowen said that he's still considering NC State (despite a coaching change) and Texas.

NC State: "I haven't really talked to them that much. I used to talk to the assistants a lot so we'll see where it goes."

Arizona: "Their final pitch has been just to come in and be a scorer. They want me to be a part of a national championship team with who they have coming in and who's staying. Coach (Sean) Miller feels like he can get the best out of me.

Creighton: "It's really a shooters program and all I'd have to do is come in and be the guy to do a little bit of everything. They just told me I could have the ball in my hands a lot and be a play maker."

Texas: "Matt Coleman and James Banks have been in my ear a lot, if not every day. It's good to talk to those two guys about the program and with James the day to day at practice and the school."

Michigan State: "I'm looking to see how the team develops for next year and how I would fit in there. Of course I'm looking at if Miles Bridges stays or if he declares for the draft."

Though Bowen wants to decide in April, he's not setting any dates just yet. It will just be a matter of feel between himself and his parents.

"Whenever my family and I get that gut feeling about one school that's when it's going to be time to make my decision."
