GARDEN GROVE, Calif. - Top 40 point guard Devon Dotson is almost ready to cut down his list. Anthony Edwards a potential big-timer and much more from Sunday's action at the third stop of the Under Armour Association.
DOTSON LOOKING TO CUT LIST SOON
Top 40 point guard Devon Dotson has had a very good spring. The question heading in was his jump shot and he responded well during April's live periods. Dotson didn't shoot quite as well in Southern California but he was still a major factor.
The news, though, is that Dotson should be forming a list of favorites in the near future. Currently, Dotson has offers from Kansas, Florida, N.C. State, Arizona, Miami, Creighton, Georgetown, Maryland, Clemson, Wake Forest, Tennessee and several others.
Dotson told Rivals.com that Arizona, Kansas, Miami and Florida are four in good shape to make the cut and that will leave a few spots.
"I'm going to cut my list soon, this week maybe," Dotson told Rivals.com. "I think I'll do a top seven or maybe eight."
EDWARDS POTENTIALLY ELITE, SUNDAY NOTES
* Playing for the ATL XPress 16U team, powerful shooting guard Anthony Edwards looks like a potentially elite wing prospect. He is explosive, can shoot from deep and plays with aggression on the offensive end. Currently ranked as a four-star prospect, Edwards is easily a top 50 prospect and probably a bit better than that. The question is whether he will be a 2019 or 2020 prospect. Georgia Tech, Auburn, Florida State, Clemson and Texas A&M have already offered.
* We updated 2018 wing Miller Kopp's recruitment Saturday. Sunday, we took another extended look and he looks like somebody who will push hard for the next Rivals150. Standing 6-foot-7, he has a strong build, a lethal jump shot and is as good as anybody in the class as setting himself up for open looks via his work away from the ball. Northwestern, Vanderbilt, Kansas State, Wichita State and Houston are heavily involved.
* Class of 2019 shooting guard Zach Harvey played at a high level. The 6-foot-4 scorer got to the rim off the dribble and showed flashes of high major athleticism. He has offers from Kansas, Kansas State, Creighton, Wake Forest, Iowa and others.
* Rivals150 forward Josh LeBlanc of Louisiana Elite was in his comfort zone against Sports U. A tough and athletic 6-foot-7 power forward, LeBlanc is a big time vertical athlete with some strength who finishes well around the rim. He even stepped out and hit a couple of threes and a consistent jumper would give him a lot of value. UAB, TCU and Texas A&M are among his offers.
* Keep an eye on 2019 Jaiden Delaire of the Connecticut Basketball Club as a guy who will net high major offers this summer. He's 6-foot-8 with good skill, feel for the game and good athleticism. UMass is in early, but they will end up with company.
