Duke lands No. 4 player in country, forward Cameron Reddish

RANKINGS: Rivals150 | 2018 Team Rankings

The Duke Blue Devils are well on their way to another big-time class in 2018 after adding 2018's No. 4 player, Cameron Reddish.

The 6-foot-8 do-it-all wing announced on Friday night via the Players' Tribune what has long been suspected, that he'll play his college ball for Mike Krzyzewski and the Blue Devils.

Duke has always been on Reddish and during the summer he told Rivals.com that the message was pretty simple.

“Just to come in and be the man," Reddish previously told Rivals.com. "Be the leader straight from the start with the right guys around me.”

There's little doubt that Reddish will have the right guys around him either. The top-ranked point guard in the class, Tre Jones, is already in the fold and the two are well acquainted with each other.

Longtime friends on Nike's EYBL Circuit, the two recently roomed together at the Nike Basketball Academy in mid-August.

During Reddish's last update with Rivals.com, he mentioned that Jones was recruiting him hard.

Tre Jones just committed to Duke and we’ve become really close this summer," he said. "He’s my roommate here at Nike Skills and our parents are good friends so yeah, I would love to play with him. He’s definitely recruiting me hard to join him at Duke.”

With Reddish and Jones both committed, Duke's early class for 2018 now trails only Arizona in the team rankings. The Blue Devils are in position to add even more talent as they continue to pursue five-stars such as R.J. Barrett, Zion Williamson, Darius Garland, Nassir Little and Emmitt Williams, among others.
