Four-star Tucker breaks down finalists

MORE: Stock up for prospects in holiday tournaments

Small forward Jordan Tucker, the No. 42 overall prospect in the 2017 Rivals150, recently announced he’s down to Indiana and Villanova with a decision coming relatively soon. He visited each school recently unofficially and spoke with Rivals.com on Thursday to share his thoughts on his two finalists.

IN HIS OWN WORDS

Tucker broke down each of his recent visits to the schools remaining on his list.

Indiana: “I liked the atmosphere and how all the coaches and strength coaches are into the workouts. Everything is high intensity and that’s something I need, just somebody that will bring it every day."

Villanova: “It was a great visit. I didn’t get to see a practice, but I got to see them play against Temple. I spent a lot of time with Coach Wright just talking asking him what he wants from me, on and off the court. I think I’d fit in well with the way I shoot the ball. That’s the big thing for them, replacing a guy like Kris Jenkins or Josh Hart. They need an immediate impact.”

WHAT'S NEXT?

Tucker said the next step in the process for him is to have one last conversation with both coaching staffs to really press them on his fit within each program and what their plans are for him. He’ll make a decision either sometime during January or possibly into early February if everything goes as planned.

RIVALS' REACTION

Both schools had Tucker on campus for official visits recently and showed him a good time. Indiana’s fan base showed out for the North Carolina game to pull the upset over the Tar Heels, while Villanova beat local rival Temple in front of a packed house. As he nears a decision, our best guess is that Indiana holds a slight edge.
