Four-star Okoro breaks down Georgia Tech, Auburn

EWERSON, Ga. – One of the top prospects in the state of Georgia regardless of classification, Isaac Okoro has all of the tools to become a prioritized, national prospect in the years ahead. Numerous SEC and ACC programs have already started recruiting the four-star standout.

Okoro is best on the drive to the basket where he uses his newly harnessed strength in taking on contact before exploding for the highlight reel dunk. He has also become a better shooter and defender in recent months.

IN HIS OWN WORDS

The top-50 recruit has seen two schools recently increase their pursuit.

“Auburn has come to a lot of my games, and also Georgia Tech,” he said.

Okoro discussed those programs.

Auburn: “They are trying to get young people right now so they can get a better team. Bruce Pearl is a real good coach and he has really good assistant coaches. I went to watch one of their games. I like the way that they play.”

Georgia Tech: “I really see the head coach (Josh Pastner) coming to a lot of my games. He is really interested in me. I like their gym, their fan base and their school.”

WHAT'S NEXT

Okoro will finish out his summer on the Nike circuit playing with and up-and-coming AOT Running Rebels 16-under team.

Meanwhile, a college decision is not expected in the foreseeable future, though one thing that is easy to predict is that loads of schools will begin to show priority attention for the productive sophomore.

RIVALS' REACTION

Okoro is one of the most competitive, consistent producers from within his region in the 2019 class. Though it is still early in the process, Georgia Tech and Auburn sit in a great spot for the high-end four-star prospect.
