Five-Star Predictions: Prospects attending the USA Basketball Camp

In the class of 2018, there are 14 five-star prospects left on the board. This weekend, all eyes in the grassroots basketball world will be on Colorado Springs where the annual USA Basketball Fall Developmental Camp will be taking place. Among those in attendance will be 10 of those five-star prospects who have decisions to make. Today, the Rivals.com team takes a look at where they stand and predicts landing spots.

USA BASKETBALL: Which five-star has the most to prove?

Schools involved: Clemson, Duke, Kansas, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina, UCLA

The latest: After postponing his Kentucky visit, Williamson took his first official to Kansas last weekend. He’s been to Clemson and South Carolina unofficially this fall and still has set visits for Duke and UCLA.

Predictions: Eric Bossi- Kentucky; Corey Evans- Kentucky; Dan McDonald- Duke; Krysten Peek- Kentucky

Schools involved: Arizona, Kentucky, Oregon, UCLA, USC

The latest: Bol took his first official visit to Oregon last weekend and has visits scheduled for his other four finalists with Kentucky up next for its Big Blue Madness event.

Predictions: Bossi - Kentucky; Evans - Oregon; McDonald- UCLA; Peek - Arizona

Schools involved: Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, North Carolina, UCLA, Vanderbilt

The latest: Langford has completed official visits to Vanderbilt and UCLA over the past two weekends. He’ll visit North Carolina, Indiana and Kansas over the last two weekends of October. Five-stars Darius Garland and Quentin Grimes are rumored to be two he would have an interest in playing with in college.

Predictions: Bossi- Kansas; Evans - Indiana; McDonald - Indiana; Peek - Indiana

Schools involved: California, Gonzaga, Louisiana-Lafayette, Nevada, Oregon, St. John’s, UCLA

The latest: Things have been pretty quiet for Brown. He’s yet to take or set any official visits and is a good candidate for a spring decision.

Predictions: Bossi - Cal; Evans - UCLA; McDonald - Cal; Peek - Cal

Schools involved: Kansas, Kentucky, Marquette, Texas

The latest: Grimes has completed official visits to Texas and Kentucky. He’ll hit Kansas and Marquette following USA Basketball and could wait until the winter to make his decision.

Predictions: Bossi - Kansas; Evans - Kansas; McDonald - Kansas; Peek - Kansas

Schools involved: Duke, Kansas, Louisville, Maryland, St. John’s, UCLA

The latest: Brown visited Louisville but with uncertainty there and Kansas already landing two high-level big men those programs appear to be out. The other visit he has taken is Maryland and a visit to UCLA appears to be in the works.

Predictions: Bossi - Maryland; Evans - Maryland; McDonald - Maryland; Peek - Maryland

Schools involved: Indiana, Kentucky, UCLA, Vanderbilt

The latest: Garland has seen hometown Vanderbilt and will visit Kentucky and Indiana the two weekends after USA Basketball. As mentioned above, there’s been some growing buzz about he and Romeo Langford ending up at the same program.

Predictions: Bossi - Vanderbilt; Evans - Vanderbilt; McDonald - Vanderbilt; Peek - Vanderbilt

Schools involved: Kansas, Florida, Florida State, South Carolina, others

The latest: Simons just re-opened his recruitment after Rick Pitino was put on leave at Louisville as part of the college basketball corruption revelations. It’s still undetermined whether he will try to sign early or wait as many more schools will be jumping in.

Predictions: Bossi - Florida State; Evans - Florida State; McDonald - Florida State; Peek - Florida

Schools involved: Kentucky, NC State, Maryland, Texas

The latest: Johnson has now visited all of his finalists, NC State, Maryland, Texas and Kentucky. He could be the closest of the remaining five-stars to making a decision.

Predictions: Bossi - Texas; Evans - Texas; McDonald - NC State; Peek - Texas

Schools involved: Duke, Florida, Kansas, LSU, Miami, Oregon, USC

The latest: Williams took his first official visit to Oregon last weekend and is slated to visit LSU next. He remains very quiet about his recruitment and is one of the toughest to get a read on.
