Zollo officially opens it up

The last of Billy Gillispie's underclassmen commitments to Kentucky is now officially decommitted. 2011 prospect Vinny Zollo of Winchester (Ky.) George Rogers Clark High School is ready to take a second spin through the recruiting game.
"I talked with the Kentucky coaches yesterday and officially opened up my recruitment," said Zollo, a 6-foot-8, 215-pound power forward. "I've been in contact with the Kentucky coaches since they took over, and they still plan to evaluate me in July. I've also been hearing from some other schools, but it will be interesting to see what happens now that I'm officially decommitted."

In fact Zollo has already gotten a jump start on his second recruitment. He visited Notre Dame recently. Oklahoma State has already offered him. And Cincinnati is showing interest.
Noting that location is not a factor, Zollo has a pretty clear understanding of what he is looking for in a college program.
"Style of play will be crucial," he said. "I liked the hi/low system that Coach Gillispie used. I like freedom as a big man and like a coach who takes advantage of mismatches with his big guys."
