Zach Martin Has Big Summer Ahead

Zach Martin, a 6-5, 200-pound swingman from Shawnee High School in New Jersey, has a big summer ahead. There are many middle to lower division one programs interested in watching him play. If Martin is to lift his recruiting, he must improve certain areas of his game.
"I know I have to do well this summer," Martin told us. "I plan on working on my dribbling and my strength."

Martin said he is working everyday on a "peak performance." Martin said it includes lifting weights and doing individual exercises to strengthen his frame.
Martin averaged 20 points a game last season as a junior. He expects to showcase his skills at the Eastern Invitational camp from July 7th-11th and also at the National AAU's in Orlando, Florida in late July.
Recruiting wise, he has taken one unofficial visit. "I have been to Princeton," Martin said. "And it's a beautiful campus."
There are several other schools looking at him too -- Wyoming, New Mexico State, Boston University, and Hartford. "I am open," Martin said. "Distance is not a factor in what I will decide. But the overall balance of what I can get out of the school when I am there four years is very important to me."
