Young visiting three

Considering five schools, Rivals150 prospect Brandon Young of Friends School of Baltimore is on the second of a trio of official visits.

Last weekend Young, a 6-foot-2, 170-pound point guard, enjoyed his visit to UMass.

"UMass was very nice," Young said. "I liked how everything was there. It was just a nice place to be. Everything caught my eye about it. There was just so much I liked. I just really like the program. They have a good coaching staff. They're easy to get along with. They reall opened up to me. I really like them."

Next up for Young is a visit to DePaul this weekend and then a visit to South Florida the following weekend.

He is also looking at Marquette and Miami, but no visits have been scheduled.

Young, who claims offers from all five schools, has several items on his mind during his visits.

"I'm looking for a lot of things," he said. "I have to make sure I'm comfortable with the players on the team. I'm looking at the coaching staffs and how they're going to treat me. Also, if I come there, what chance do I have to play as a true freshman?"

Young is the No. 147 ranked prospect in the Rivals150.
