PORTLAND, Ore. -- On the Northeast side of the city, Jefferson invaded Grant High School looking for revenge in a Portland Interscholastic League tilt. After falling to Grant in their own gym earlier this season, Jefferson exacted revenge on Grant's home court as they scored a 65-48 rivalry game win.

Leading the way for Jefferson was junior combo guard Geno West who scored 23 points. Most of the 6-foot-2 guard's scores came off of aggressive drives to the hole. It was a nice outing for him and he showed some promise moving forward.

While West led the way as a scorer, the game featured flashes from two of the city's better young prospects in Jefferson freshman Marcus Tsohonis and Grant sophomore Kelton Samore.

Standing every bit of 6-foot-3 and maybe even pushing 6-foot-4, Tsohonis is a rangy combo guard who some locals feel is the best 2019 prospect in the city.

Tsohonis didn't have a huge scoring night but showed that he can be crafty off the dribble, spots holes and attacks and can get others involved. With strength will come more explosion but he's already drawn interest from Oregon, Oregon State, Washington, Portland and Portland State.

Moving on to Samore, he's a 6-foot-7 combo forward who has skill and mobility.

Samore showed excellent passing skills out of the mid and high post, ran the floor well and showed off a crisp looking jump shot. He looks like a player just starting to come into his own but there is a lot to like and he seems to be right on edge of turning himself into a very productive player.
