Massillon (Ohio) Jackson power forward Kyle Young has been busy lately checking out all the schools recruiting him.
In the past couple months, the 2017 Rivals150 prospect has visited Davidson, Charlotte, Clemson, Michigan, Butler, Purdue and Xavier. Each school he visited, excluding Michigan, has extended a scholarship offer.
Young offered his thoughts on some of those visits.
On Clemson:
"That was a great visit," Young said. "It was a great day down there. It was a nice campus. … They were saying I was a player that could (do) a little of everything."
On Davidson:
"I like them a lot too. It's a unique place. It's a really small school," he said. "I like the coaching staff there. I watched them practice and I like the way they do things."
On Butler:
"It was nice. I went down there a couple weeks ago to check it out and they showed us around. It was pretty to see Hinkle Fieldhouse. I liked it."
On Purdue:
"They were a similar feel to Butler. They run their program the same way. I went there for a football game and hung out with Coach [Matt] Painter for the day. It was pretty cool."
On Michigan:
"They haven't offered yet, but I've been talking to (coach John Beilein) and they have been down to our open gyms. We went to a football game there and it was pretty crazy. They have one of the biggest stadiums in the country."
Young hopes to have a decision by the time he tips off his senior season.
"It really just depends on when I'm ready. It could be whenever," he said.
