WVU Alabama Still After Ibrahim

Oak Hill Academy head coach Steve Smith told us that he believes that Sani Ibrahim, a 6-11 center from the Oak Hill Academy in Mouth of Wilson, Virginia, should play college ball. "He should at least play a year on the college level," Smith said. "But he is slowly playing himself into better shape. Sani has alot of skills. He can eventually play in the NBA."
Smith said. "I know people have said he didn't have a good summer. But so far he is showing me he is a very talented player."

Ibrahim did not have a good summer but Sani has some physical skills which are hard to teach. He can finish with authority, block shots, and rebound. Ibrahim will have to have a big year for Oak Hill Academy to be drafted in the first round of next year's June NBA draft.
Should Indiana, West Virginia, Alabama or any other school get involved? "Well Alabama and West Virginia are recruiting him," Smith said. "They are staying in touch. It's smart to stay in touch because you never know what might happen."
If Ibrahim is to play college ball, he has plenty of classroom work to catch up with. "He is working hard there too," Smith said. "I think he wants to give himself some options."
Ibrahim is likely going to have to go to summer school next year if he is to qualify. Smith would not go into any details about a player's academic situation. But our sources close to Ibrahim tell us that he will have to work hard in the classroom to have a chance to play at an Indiana, Alabama, or West Virginia.
"Indiana has not really expressed much interest to us yet," Smith said. "But you never know especially with what happened to Sean May. (May verballed to UNC over Indiana and Louisville).
