Wright: IU More Dangerous Next Year

Bracey Wright was not unlike the normal Indiana Hoosier fan earlier this week. He was on the edge of his seat with each basket that Indiana scored. Wright's heart would sink a little as each Maryland point was recorded. "It would have been nice to be out there," said Wright. "I wish I was."
Wright will get his chance this winter to play for Mike Davis' Indiana program. Wright signed a letter of intent last Fall with the Hoosiers. "I have not spoken to coach Davis since the last game," Wright said. "I expect to hear from him tomorrow night."

Wright said he hopes he adds some quickness to Indiana next season. "I think we could (Wright and incoming guard Marshall Strickland) add some speed to the offense," Wright said. "Marshall can break down people off the dribble. I think I can get past people too. It's going to be a great team next year too. I can't wait to get there. I think with the recruits coming in we will be more dangerous."
Bracey, who averaged 25 points a game, has a mean jumper too. "We really shot the ball well," Wright said. "No one thought we could go that far. And we did. We almost won it. We were so close. Indiana fans deserve a national championship. I hope I can help them next year in doing that."
Tomorrow night Wright, a 6-3 shooting guard from the state of Texas, will put his skills on display in front of thousands of New Yorkers for the McDonald's All American game.
"It has been a great week," Wright said. "It's an honor to be here. It's great to be just a part of it. It's my first time to New York City. It is so crowded. I have never been to Madison Square Garden. I am really looking forward to the shoot around and the game."
