Wisconsin shooter pops for Iowa State

Rivals.com reported just two days ago that the recruitment of Matt Thomas was nearing an end. The end came on Thursday night.
The 6-foot-4 shooting guard from Onalaska (Wisc.) committed to Iowa State after visiting over the weekend.

"My gut feeling and I went with my heart," Thomas told Rivals.com. "I felt comfortable with Iowa State and I had a really good relationship with the coaching staff. I see myself fitting in there.
"Also, when I was on campus it felt like home."
One of the premiere jump shooters in the country, Thomas can really fill it up from deep. He's also got good size and sees it as a pretty big compliment to be considered such a good shooter.
"That's pretty cool for me to hear because I've spent a lot of time and a lot of hard work has gone into my game," Thomas said. "Specifically with my shot. I think some people think I'm just a shooter and they overlook the way I can pass and handle the ball."
