Winslow wants to manage list

As of now, five-star 2014 forward Justise Winslow's school list is three pages long.

This month though, he hopes, that list should be down to seven schools.
Winslow wouldn't reveal his finalists, saying he'll announce them in the next few weeks, but he at least gave hints.
When asked who was recruiting him the hardest, he rattled off: North Carolina, Florida, Arizona, Baylor and Duke, and then he added UCLA in a follow-up question.
Those six, plus one more, will probably make the cut for the 6-foot-5, 200-pound, do-it-all wing.
"Seven would be a good number," Winslow said. "If I don't take unofficials in the spring, I'll probably narrow it down to five so I can take those five in the fall."
One of the schools that seems to intrigue Winslow the most is UCLA. The Houston (Texas) St. John's product took an unofficial trip there this season to catch the opening of New Pauley Pavilion, and he loved what he saw.
"The Pauley renovation is really nice," he said. "NBA-type stadium with seats on the courtside and things like that. It's really nice. Probably the best college arena when it comes to how nice it is and things like that. The visit was really fun. I got to hang out with the guys, meet the coaches, hang out with them. Just tour the campus, so I can get a feel for how it is."
Winslow's oldest brother lives in Los Angeles, which is another big drawing point for the forward.
"He wants me out there," Winslow said. "He wants me to live that L.A. Hollywood lifestyle and it's a cool lifestyle to live, but I just have to do what's best for me."
What's best for him could be Duke. Winslow said the Blue Devils will get a visit, either an unofficial this spring or an official in the fall (or both), and said, "that's a school I'm pretty interested in."
Outside of that, Winslow's recruitment is going to unfold relatively slowly, as he tries to find a school that has "good players, a good academic school, a coach that's really going to better me and a strong fan base."
