Winchester Davis Make School Change

John Winchester and Eric Davis both arrived in Connecticut today and enrolled for classes at Milford Academy, according to Milford Head Coach Bob Riggio.
Davis, who is bound for Seton Hall next fall, and Winchester, a Tennessee commitment, recently left Bonner Academy in Raleigh, N.C. Both players enrolled in prep school this fall in order to boost their academic credentials in line with NCAA initial freshman eligibility standards.

"We are happy to have both Eric and John," Riggio said. "They were unhappy at Bonner for a number of different reasons."
"I've been telling people all along that we looking for a big guy, so Eric was mentioned to me first," Riggio continued. "John is originally a Connecticut kid, and it was also mentioned that he was unhappy as well. So the thing got put together."
Davis and Winchester gained notoriety over the past few years playing with Jimmy Salmon's T5T Playaz program.
Davis attended Camden H.S. in Camden, N.J., where he teamed alongside Memphis freshman Dajuan Wagner to make that program one of the best in the Garden State last winter.
Winchester starred last winter at Marist H.S. in Bayonne, N.J., but had no athletic eligibility remaining at the Northern New Jersey private school this year.
Milford Academy already has one of Davis and Winchester's former summer teammates on its roster in 6-6 Philadelphia small forward Nicholas King.
An independent prep school, Miflord plays a tough schedule that features several other top postgraduate programs in the Northeast and beyond.
IR plans on catching Milford in action several times this winter, so stay tuned to this site for in-season updates on Davis and Winchester.
