SMITHFIELD, RHODE ISLAND -- Corey Herring scored 25 points while Clyde Wade ran a solid floor game and added 19 points to lead the Winchendon School to a victory over Laurinburg Institute at the 2002 National Prep School Invitational held on the campus of Bryant College.
Wade came off the bench to do his damage. The athletic guard also had a three-pointer last night. Winchendon led 42-33 at the half. It was 42-30 with 25 seconds left after Wade hit his three.

Lauringburg rallied on a couple of occasions behind Terrance Whiters (23 points), Shelden Franklin (14 points), and Cortez Davis (12 points). But they could get no closer than seven points in the second half as Winchendon had too much firepower.
