Williams to Conference USA

Three-star combo guard Ryan Williams is no longer on the board. Williams, 6-foot-2, 180-pounds, from Jonesboro, Ark., passed over a couple in-state schools to commit to a Conference USA school looking to make some noise.
“I committed to Tulane Saturday night after I returned from my visit there,” said Williams. “I think it’s the best situation for me and my family.

“I think Tulane can make some noise in the new Conference USA. But more importantly I am looking at life after basketball, and Tulane has a lot to offer. Their graduates in their first year average making over 77,00 dollars a year.”
Williams had more positive things to say about Tulane, the coaching staff and the city of New Orleans.
“Tulane is a great academic school, and the city of New Orleans will be a great place to spend the next four years of my life and mature and become an adult,” he said. “The coaching staff made me feel that Tulane was the best place fore me. Coach Finney and the staff did a great job recruiting me, and I am really excited about attending Tulane.”
Williams, who ran with the Arkansas Wings AAU program, is a physical guard who can both attack the basket and shoot it from the outside. He chose Tulane over in-state schools Arkansas-Little Rock, Arkansas State, and Arkansas.
