Williams thinking Conference USA

Three-star combo guard prospect Ryan Williams appears to be on the fast track to play in Conference USA. Williams, 6-foot-2, 180-pounds out of Jonesboro (Ark.) High School might just end his recruitment on his visit at the end of this month.
“It is close between Arkansas State and Tulane, but I’ll probably commit to Tulane on my visit October 30th,” said Williams.

Williams continued with a number of reasons he is high on the Green Wave.
“The Tulane coaches seem like they are on the same page as me,” he said. “My parents like the academics that come along with the basketball. I really like New Orleans. It’s a nice city, and they really host a lot of events.
“Coach Finney and I have built a good relationship. He’d be a good coach to play for.”
At one time, Williams was receiving serious interest from Big Ten schools Purdue and Illinois. And although he strongly favors Tulane, Williams would consider any high major school if he heard from them at this late stage in his recruitment.
Williams is a physically strong backcourt player, who can both shoot it and get to the basket. More than likely, he will play the point guard position in college.
