Williams sets announcement date

Now that his Midnight Madness visit to his hometown school is complete, the official visits are over for Elliot Williams. It is time for the 6-foot-4, 175-pound guard from Memphis (Tenn.) St. George's School to make a decision.
November 2 is the date when Williams will announce his choice between Duke, Memphis, Tennessee and Virginia. Official visits to all four schools are in the books.

"All the visits have been great, and all four schools are in the running," said Williams. "I really don't know where I'm going to go to school. This is the biggest decision of my life. It's where I'm going to spend the next four years of my life. All four schools are good options. I just have to decide which is the best for me.
"The first thing I'm going to look at when I sit down with my family is where do I feel most comfortable. I also am interested in which coach will look out for my best interest and make me better while I'm there."
Memphis certainly helped its chances during Williams' official visit.
"Memphis is a top five program and my home school," commented Williams. "I just didn't know how I'd fit in with the team. On the visit I had a great time with the players and really found the comfort level I was looking for."
Williams is the No. 16 ranked prospect in the Rivals150.
Elliot Williams scouting report:
An electric athlete, Williams is a big time slashing scorer who can also wreak havoc on the defensive end with his length, quickness and superb anticipation. A potential big time point guard, Williams sees the floor and can break his man down on the dribble. He loves to take the ball right and then spin back to his dominant left hand against the second defender. His outside shot is in the process of improving.
