Williams ready for his first visit

Rivals150 forward Jordan Williams is set to embark on his official visits this weekend. The 6-foot-9, 245-pound big man from Torrington (Conn.) High School is headed down to ACC country on Friday.
Williams will make his first official visit this fall this weekend when he travels south to Maryland. It will be the first of several visits, he said.

"I'm real excited. I've been looking forward to it for a while now," Williams said. "Hopefully it will be a really good time. I want to see where they play. I want to see their campus. I hear it is huge. I want to see their players and how they work out. I'm excited about everything."
The trip will mark his first trip to College Park, too. Williams will travel to St. John's on Oct. 4 to see the Big East school on an official visit, he said.
The No. 102 ranked prospect might visit Marquette on Oct. 24 "but that's not for sure just yet," he said.
Maryland, Marquette, Providence and St. John's have all made in home or in school visits with him, he said. Arizona, Indiana, Cal and others are also in the mix.
"I'm not trying to turn my head to anyone," Williams said.
Is there a chance he commits to Maryland shortly after his visit?
"I'm not sure because it's hard for me to think about that right now," Williams said. "I don't know how it is going to be. If I feel one hundred percent comfortable about it, then it is a possibility but right now I'm just not sure."
In the meantime, Williams is ready to see new places and new schools over the next month and a half.
