Williams Comments on his Decision

As RivalsHoops analyst Mike Sullivan reported earlier tonight, power forward Sean Williams from Mansfield High School (Texas) did make the commitment to his long time favorite Boston College. Although his favorite for some time, it was not necessarily an easy decision to pick Boston College.
“It was tougher than people think it was,” Williams said. “Everybody thought all along that I was going to pick Boston College, but I liked Texas and Rutgers a lot.”

The 6-foot-8, 225-pound Williams could not be more excited about moving up north and playing for Coach Skinner.
“I am looking forward to being coached by Coach Skinner and being with the players,” he said. “Boston has lots of media and attention. It is a great city- nice and peaceful. I really like the situation there.”
Williams, who is a young senior, played on the sixteen and under AAU circuit for the Dallas Mustangs. Despite his young age and tremendous upside, Williams plans on playing right away for BC and not redshirting.
