William Mary picks up Texas forward

Coming on the heals of a commitment from bruising Oak Hill (Va.) Academy forward Alex Smith, William & Mary has garnered a commitment from a complimentary finesse style forward in Peter Stein from Westbury Christian High School in Houston, Texas. Stein, 6-foot-8, 215-pounds, is playing an integral role for his 27-6 team which is poised to make a run at another state championship.
"William & Mary really wanted Peter badly," said Westbury Christian head coach Greg Glenn. "He thought about going the prep school route but decided against it. Davidson and Furman were heavily involved also."

Projecting as a power forward who could also play some small forward, Stein is averaging 11 points and 5 rebounds per game while shooting 33 percent from the three-point line and hitting 71 percent from the free throw line.
"Peter is getting most of his points inside, but he can also step out in the short corner," said Glenn. "He is also a good offensive rebounder. He is the best guy we have at tipping balls out and keeping them alive."
