Why Hughes Chose Oregon State

Laim Hughes, a 7-2, 260 pound center from Modesto Christian H.S. in Modesto, Calif., told us he committed to Oregon State because the Pac-10 program had recruited him for a long time and he felt very comfortable with his situation there.
"I like the coaching staff a lot," Hughes said. "I like the players too. It's a great conference and I will have a chance to play there."

A native of Hull Bridge, England, Hughes hosted Washington State (Sept. 10), Oregon State (Sept. 12), Santa Clara (Sept. 14), Oregon (Sept. 16), UCSB (Sept. 17) and Washington (Sept. 19), and Stanford (24th) for in home visits.
Hughes said he doesn't yet have a leader or leaders in his recruiting process.
