Why Diarra Picked The Bulls

Konimba Diarra took a trio of official visits this fall, but in the end, he opted to pick Seth Greenberg's South Florida Bulls program.
Diarra, a developing 6-9, 230 pound power forward from Mali, picked South Florida after taking fall visits to St. Joseph's (Sept. 27-29), Stony Brook (Oct. 18-20) and USF (Oct. 12-14).

"I think he sensed that he had an opportunity to step in and play right away in a high level league," said Rev. Ronald Stelzer, Diarra's coach at Our Savior New America in Centereach, N.Y. "He felt that the coaches there could get the most out of him, and he will have a chance to be reunited with one of his former teammates from here (Sheldon Franklin)."
Diarra is a limited player when it comes to offense, but he can be a terrific rebounding and defensive presence in the low post. His upside is significant, and if he can develop some patented moves in the paint, he could be a very good big man at the Conference USA level.
