Why Chris Ellis Chose Wake Forest

Chris Ellis, a talented 6-8 forward in the class of 2002, recently made a tough decision. Ellis chose Wake Forest over programs like Georgia and Alabama.
"I had taken unofficial visits to both Georgia and Alabama," Ellis said. "I liked them both. But after I took my visit to Wake Forest, I knew this was the school for me."

Ellis said the academics of the school were very important to him. "I want to major in either business or computers," Ellis said. "I was very impressed on what they had to offer at Wake Forest academically. It was just the right place for me."
Skip Prosser would certainly agree. "The coaches are great there too," Ellis said. "I felt very comfortable with the staff there. They made it easier for me to make a commitment."
Ellis said Wake Forest plans to use him at the power forward position. "I think I can come in there and get some minutes right away," Ellis said. "But it will be up to me. I have to earn those minutes. I plan on earning them."
This is a very good pickup for Wake Forest. Ellis has improved his game over the past year. He is a hard worker who seems to thrive on improving each aspect of his individual game. His best days are ahead of him.
