White will wait to sign

While the majority of prospects in the 2007 class will sign during the early signing period, which starts today, others will wait for the late signing period to arrive. Josh White, the 5-foot-10, 167-pound point guard from Christian Life Academy in Baton Rouge, La., has decided to wait a little longer before making a final decision.
"I don't have any visits planned yet, so I have decided to wait until the late period to sign," said White. "Northwestern State is the newest school to get involved in my recruitment. I am also hearing from UNC-Greensboro, Kentucky, Murray State and a few others.

"Not many schools have been by to watch me practice lately, but all of the schools that I mentioned have been in-contact with my high school coach," he added. "I really want to take an official visit to Kentucky, and I believe that visit will happen at a later date."
It's no secret that Kentucky has always been a dream school for White, but it's not yet known how interested the coaching staff is in the talented point guard. At this time, White is hoping to make a name for himself during his senior campaign.
White is hoping his play on the court attracts Kentucky and other schools to Christian Life Academy.
"Our first game of the season is next week and its looking good for us right now," said White. "We won the State Championship last year and we return everybody expect for one player that graduated. We have a great team coming back, so hopefully we can repeat.
"I know how important it is for me to have a good year," he added. "I hope to do that, but my biggest goal is to repeat and win another State Championship. That is the biggest goal for my team and I."
