Junior power forward Romello White had a number of schools tracking his progress at IMG Academy this season, but the Georgia native saw no reason to let his recruitment drag on any longer.

On Monday night, he called the Tennessee coaching staff and told them he wanted to become a Volunteer.
White received an offer from Tennessee last summer while playing with Stackhouse Elite on the Adidas circuit, and visited Knoxville for a football game a few months ago. The visit sealed the deal for White.
"I really liked the facilities. I like the coaching staff. I feel like I really fit in there," White told Rivals.com following his commitment.
Assistant coach Chris Shumate was the lead recruiter in Tennessee's recruitment of White.
The three-star prospect, who currently comes in at 102nd overall in the 2016 Rivals150, had schools such as Georgia, Georgia Tech, Middle Tennessee, George Mason, Charlotte and Tulane involved in his recruitment.
White transferred to IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida last summer after spending his first two years of high school at Peachtree Ridge High School in Suwanee, Georgia. He's currently averaging 14 points and 10 rebounds per game as a junior.
