White Out For Summer

Indiana bound forward D.J. White, a 6-foot-8, 230-pound center/forward from Hillcrest High School in Tuscaloosa, Ala., will sit out the rest of the summer. White, currently watching the Peach Jam tournament with his AAU teammates, hurt his thumb at the NIKE camp in Indianapolis last week.
"It happened during a three-on-three game," White said. "While playing the game someone slappped at my thumb real hard and it was fractured."

White will not play at the Peach Jam. He was expected to play at the NIKE Showcase later this month in Orlando, Florida and also remain for the National AAU event. "I am not going to play in any more tournaments this summer," White said. "I am not sure even if I will play in the Alabama challenge. I have to see how the injury heals."
White recently made a commitment to the Indiana basketball program. He is also highly ranked in the Rivals150.
