White makes decision about prep school

Heath White, the 6-foot-2, 170-pound combo guard from Taft High School in Cincinnati, Ohio, has made a decision about his future. The three-star prospect has decided to attend prep school and just recently decided on what prep school to attend next year. It was a difficult decision for White, but he is glad that the process is finally over.
"Heath has decided to attend The Patterson Prep School," said Bobby Green, Heath's guardian. "He probably made this decision in his heart a couple of months ago, but wanted to continue to work hard in the classroom in hopes of achieving a qualifying test score. I don't know if he would have been able to do that, but it would have been very close.

"Heath decided that an extra year of school would be good for him," he added. "It will give him the opportunity to work on his academics and become more of a mature person. Heath has really done a great job of doing that so far, but the extra year will certainly help. Heath has been invited to attend a tournament in the Bahamas with Patterson in April, but I don't know if he will do that. He has also been invited to play in the East-West All-Star game here, which is a big honor."
Now that White has decided to attend The Patterson School, he can now solely focus on academics, basketball and his recruitment. Green indicated that several schools are actively recruiting the three-star prospect.
"Several schools are showing an interest in Heath," said Green. "Xavier, Connecticut, Seton Hall and Michigan are the ones that come to mind. I know that Kentucky coach Tubby Smith came through to check in on Heath, but I don't know how interested Kentucky is right now."
