Whats Up With Shagari

Rice big man Shagari Alleyne continues to baffle the media and coaches about his college decision. As of this afternoon, Alleyne had not called any of the coaches involved in his recruiting process with a decision. A possible decision may develop tonight. A source in the New York City area told RivalsHoops.com that Alleyne was leaning to Rutgers over Kentucky and Pepperdine.
However, it's important to note that Alleyne has played this recruiting race like a master poker player. He has never given anyone an indication on where he was headed. And it's also smart to note that Alleyne hasn't given an official verbal commitment to any school thus far.

But we will keep you posted on this important recruit. Alleyne is a player who could be a major impact player on the college level. Alleyne has taken trips to Rutgers, Pepperdine, St. John's, Louisville, and Kentucky.
At one point during his recruiting process, it looked like Louisville was the school to beat (during the summer). But Alleyne has taken other trips and appears now to be leaning to Rutgers, according to some New York City sources.
