Whats Next For Stafford

Nick Stafford, a 6-8, 190-pound forward from Worcester Academy in Massachusetts, has progressed in his overall game as indicated by his play last week at the War At The Shore in Delaware.
A nifty run/jump athlete, the 6-7 Stafford has limited shooting range, but he can flush it with the best of them. He turned in an 11 point, 11 rebound performance in a blowout win over West Nottingham Academy last Saturday.

Worcester Head Coach Mo Cassara said that low-mid Division I programs expressed the most interest in Stafford this fall, but his list could continue to grow significantly with a fine winter of play for the Hilltoppers.
Stafford has certainly made significant improvement. Stafford had his 11 points and had 11 rebounds in his 26 minutes of play against West Nottingham by possessing more confidence in his shot. But this will take time. What Stafford showed the most was his bounce in playing above the rim.
According to Worcester head coach Mo Cassara, Stafford has taken a visit to Central Connecticut State. In addition, he has interest in Massachusetts, LaSalle, Siena, and UNC-Wilmington. "He has America East interest and some mid level interest," Cassara said.
Massachusetts, LaSalle, Memphis, Hartford, Boston University, and Providence all took in school visits last year with Stafford. These schools all came in because Stafford is an intriguing recruit. Nick is a great athlete and as we mentioned above -- a jumper away from being a good college basketball player. However, many of the above schools would like to see some improvement in Nick's perimeter game before making a serious run in his recruiting process.
