What Bennett Provides For Charlotte

Recently, Charlotte received another solid verbal commitment from a recruit who is likely to make an impact offensively for the Niners program in the future.
Marcus Bennett, a 6-2 combo guard from Schoolcraft College in Detroit, Michigan, made his commitment a few days ago. Bennett spent some time at Michigan before transferring out.

Michigan thought highly of Bennett. Those who know Marcus describe him as a great kid who will be a very good player in Conference USA. Bennett is more of a two guard than a one. But he can play some minutes at the point. Bennett is a good shooter and a great athlete.
Bennett can also make an impact for three years at Charlotte. He has that much eligibility left on the college level. Most JUCO players only have two years but Charlotte and Bennett will benefit from the extra year. So by the time Bennett is ready to finish up his eligibility at Charlotte, he will be experienced and be considered a fifth year senior. These factors plus his skills will likely allow him to be an important part of the Charlotte program over the next few years.
