What A Talent Torin Francis Is

BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTS -- He drove right. He danced left. Out to the high post, Torin Francis would drop down the jumper. On the fastbreak, Francis would finish in sparkling fashion with a thundering dunk.
Francis, a highly skilled 6-10, 220-pound forward from BABC, would repeat these drills over and over again during today's slugfest with the New York Ravens.

Francis team lost, 116-115. But Francis was there time and time again for his team. He led all scorers with 41 points and many of them came on razzle, dazzle inside moves.
"I had a great time but I had wished our team had won," Francis told us after the game. "It was a great game. I hope we get to play them again soon."
Whoever lands Torin Francis for the next level is going to be one happy camper. We have been fortunate to watch Francis play a lot during the past year. But it is becoming more and more apparent that Francis can be a franchise player.
A franchise player can affect a game change on both ends of the court. Francis made several crucial blocks and had many key baskets to keep his team in the game.
Torin also moves nicely without the ball. He is willing to set you a screen on the perimeter or set picks for his guards along the baseline.
Francis also has some quick, low post moves which help him sneak past defenders along the low post and around the baseline. He showed some dazzling up and under moves too when he received the entry pass in the low blocks.
Francis also polishes his craft at Tabor Academy in Massachusetts. "I am going to try and work on all parts of my game," Francis said. "I have several opportunities to do that. I am going to the tryouts for the USA team, NBA players camp and the NIKE camp. So my summer will be busy."
