Robert Whaley, a 6-10,265 pound power forward center from Barton County C.C. in Great Bend, Kan., will take his first official visit this weekend to Cincinnati.
Rivalshoops.com confirmed this on Thursday afternoon with Whaley's coach at Barton, Ryan Wolf.
Back in the spring, Wolf mentioned a handful of schools that came in to visit with Whaley.
On Thursday, he said that Cincinnati is the only college currently involved with Whaley.
There is quite a bit of speculation about Whaley making a jump to the NBA out of high school, and Wolf didn't rule that out either.
"The NBA is still a possibility," Wolf said. "I've talked to about 15-20 pro scouts within the past year regarding Rob. There's an outside chance that he will sign early [with a college]."
Whaley's visit to Cincy begins today, Friday, and runs through Sunday, Aug. 25th.
We will keep you posted on Whaley's recruitment, and let you know how his visit to Cincy goes, so stay tuned!
