West ready to emerge

Sharp shooting Jason West of Melbourne Florida Air Academy is in a position to make his mark on the recruiting radar after a recent invite to the Reebok All-American Camp.
After playing well for the D.C. Blue Devils at the Boo Williams Invitational, West, a 6-foot-6, 200-pound shooting guard, recently put together another strong performance at the Reebok Headliners Camp in Washington D.C. In fact, West played well enough to pick up an invite to the Reebok All-American Camp which he hopes to use as a springboard for his recruitment.

"I'm open right now," said West. "I'm just looking for a school where I can fit in and help out with my ability to score the basketball."
Currently VCU, Marshall, South Florida, Drake and Tulsa are recruiting West with VCU and Marshall pursuing him the hardest.
West will also be running with a new team on the circuit as he suits up alongside Isaiah Armwood and Terrell Vinson on the WPC Elite.
"I can definitely shoot the ball," said West. "Now I'm working to get bigger and faster. I also want to tighten up my handle, so I'll be a tough mismatch with my height."
