Long before the ABCD camp began, Albert Weber established himself as one of the best scoring guards in the 2004 class. Weber, 6-foot-4 and 195-pounds, continues to maintain that reputation thus far at the ADIDAS ABCD camp in Teaneck, New Jersey.

Weber danced around defenders most of the day yesterday and did so in front of the Alabama coaching staff. Weber committed a few months back to the Tide. "I really liked the Alabama coaches," Weber said. "My family liked them too. And the school is great."
Weber said it was more than basketball that helped him make his decision. "Education," he said. "Education is first there and then basketball. My family and I liked that."
The Alabama staff certainly understands what Weber brings to the table. Weber is a very good athlete that bounces very effectively from side to side. He is able to create his own shot with his skills. This is the main reason why Weber scores so many points. Weber averaged over 22 points a game last season at Mount Zion Christian Academy.
"I am trying to work on everything in my game," Weber said. "I think everyday you try to work as hard as you can and some improvement will come."
When asked what the Alabama staff wanted him to work on before he plays in the SEC, Weber responded: "They want me to work on getting to the basket more. They want me to be more of a leader on the court. And I want to be able to defend better."
After the ABCD camp, Weber plans on competing at the Big Time tournament in Las Vegas. "I try to stay focused each game," Weber said. "I think if I do that there will be improvement. I want to be a great player by the time I get to Alabama."
Already, Weber is pretty good.
