Watson a Fine Slasher

Calvin Watson, a well constructed 6-4, 198 pound shooting/combo guard from Madison H.S. in Houston, Tex., turned in some fine performances last week at the Great American Shootout in Denton.
Watson told the Insiders Report/Rivalshoops.com that he is being looked at by Baylor, Houston, Louisiana Tech, San Jose State, UNC-Wilmington, Arkansas-Little Rock, North Texas, Evansville, San Diego, Texas-Arlington and Stephen F. Austin.

Thus far, Watson said he's been offered by SFA, Baylor and UT-Arlington. He has unofficially visited North Texas and Houston.
Watson averaged 16 points, four rebounds, three assists, four steals and four blocks per game this past season at Madison.
An athletic slasher who gets quite a bit done going to the hole, Watson will need to continue honing his perimeter shot and handle.
In the classroom, Watson said he has a 2.9 GPA and will take both the SAT and ACT in the fall.
Watson will travel to the adidas Big Time Tournament this week with his Houston Gold program, and that will be his final event of the summer. We'll keep you posted on his progress and recruitment in the weeks to come, so stay tuned.
