Watkins To Visit Cuse In Late May
The Syracuse Orangemen are now making a big move in trying to secure the commitment of 7-foot center Darryl Watkins of Paterson Catholic High School in New Jersey.
Watkins, who previously had expressed interest at one time in recruiting process in Louisville, Kentucky, Seton Hall, Rutgers, and North Carolina, is one of the few remaining prospects in the 2003 class that can make an impact as a freshman.

A source close to Watkins told us that Darryl may either visit the Syracuse campus May 23rd or May 28th depending upon which date is better for Watkins' schedule. Watkins has also visited Rutgers in the past couple of weeks. His friend, Marquis Webb, is already committed to the Scarlet Knights.
A source close to Watkins told us he is likely to make a decision within a week after he takes his trip to Syracuse. It's likely Watkins will decide between Syracuse, Rutgers, and Seton Hall. Watkins has been on the Seton Hall campus many times for unofficial visits.
